CAPS offers a range of psychometric assessment packages at competitive prices. Prices for assessments will be dependent on the inclusions of the package. Some private health funds may provide rebates for assessment services and families are encouraged to discuss this with their individual fund.
All psychometric assessments are conducted by an Educational Developmental Psychologist with specialist training in assessment and education. The specific assessment tools used in an assessment will be determined by the psychologist in collaboration with the family. In addition to the individual testing sessions, a parent clinical interview, comprehensive report with recommendations and a feedback session is included for all assessments.
We accept assessment referrals for: general intelligence enquiry, giftedness, intellectual disability, learning disorders (such as Dyslexia) and other neurodevelopmental difficulties (such as ADHD, executive functioning difficulties, memory), behavioural disorders and concerns, In some cases, disability support or school funding may be accessible with psychometric results. Psychometric assessments are also available for emotional functioning and may also be appropriate in determining the impact of clinical disorders (such as anxiety or depression) on daily functioning, intellectual or learning capacity.
CAPS uses a variety of up to date, gold standard tools for assessments. Psychometric assessments are available from preschool age.
Please contact the CAPS office and speak with one of our Educational and Developmental Psychologists for further details or to discuss pricing.
